This was the first hike of the 2019 year — in Jonkershoek

Was: Saturday 2 March

Where: Jonkershoek

Route: the Second Waterfall

Difficulty: This was an easy walk along a well worn path, including one steepish puff just before entering the river…total distance about 6.4 km there and back. For the more adventurous, some managed to scramble further up to the huge amphitheatre which is the proper second waterfall is located.
